2026 LWF Summer Camp – Register Today!
There is something magical about summer on the farm. The early morning barn sounds. The rhythm of hooves in the arena. The smell of fresh hay. The quiet confidence that grows when a child learns to guide a 1,200-pound animal with patience and kindness.
At Living Wells Farm in Wells, Maine, summer camp is more than riding lessons. It’s a week of connection — to horses, to nature, to new friends, and to oneself.
Campers spend their days:
- Learning horsemanship and riding skills
- Exploring the farm and caring for animals
- Creating hands-on crafts and meaningful projects
- Building confidence, responsibility, and teamwork
- Laughing, moving, and making real memories
Our program is relationship-based and designed to meet each child where they are — whether they’re brand new to horses or already comfortable in the saddle.
What makes LWF horse camp special?
Each camper is paired with their own horse for the week! Campers take part in caring for “their” horse — learning to halter, groom, tack up, untack, and understand the daily rhythms of responsible horsemanship. They don’t just ride; they build a relationship.
We believe horses teach us some of life’s greatest lessons:
Patience. Resilience. Courage. Trust. Accountability.
By the end of the week, campers leave knowing they are capable of caring for something bigger than themselves — and that confidence stays with them long after summer ends.
We can’t wait to welcome you to the farm.
