Living Wells Farm offers services on a peaceful property tucked among the trees, just minutes from Route 1 and the beaches of Wells and Ogunquit. The farm provides a quiet, welcoming environment for participants and families.
We are committed to fostering an environment grounded in respect, dignity, kindness, and compassion. Below is a sampling of our core programs and services (please note that we do not offer trail rides). Recreational Riding
Recreational riding lessons are designed for individuals of all experience levels, from beginners to more advanced riders. Lessons focus on:
- Developing riding skills and confidence
- Improving position, balance, and control
- Building strength and proper equitation
Therapeutic Riding
Therapeutic riding sessions are designed to support emotional and physical well-being. Participants may:
- Learn foundational riding skills
- Build confidence and connection with horses, volunteers, and peers
- Participate in horse care activities such as grooming, tacking, and leading (as appropriate)
Healing Hooves
Healing Hooves is a ground-based program for individuals who prefer not to ride. Participants can:
- Learn how to safely handle, lead, and groom horses
- Build trust and communication with horses
- Develop an understanding of horse behavior and emotional awareness
- Strengthen confidence and leadership skills
Boarding
We offer boarding on a limited basis, and a waitlist is currently in place.
