Living Wells Farm Equine Assisted Services are provided on a property that is a lush, hidden gem tucked among the trees only minutes from Route 1 and the Wells & Ogunquit beaches. Our property directly connects to miles of trails on conservation land, just steps away from the barn. The 34 acre layout affords plenty of grass pastures for daily turnout. The intimate family atmosphere is relaxing and safe, promoting a rustic, quiet environment for our visitors.
Therapeutic Riding
- Adaptive riding taught by a PATH Certified Riding Instructor
- Teaches riding skills as well as promoting emotional and physical well-being
- Promotes bonding with horses, volunteers and other riders
- Your child can be involved in preparing the horse for a lesson, if appropriate. This involves: grooming, tacking, leading the horse out to the riding ring
- Group or private lessons
Recreational Riding
- Typical horseback riding lesson
- Teaching riding skills to people with varied backgrounds of experience
- Can be learning to just pick up the reins or correcting your position in the canter
- Establish proper equitation, balance, and strength to further riding skills
- Taught by our experienced staff of trainers
Summer Horse Camps
- 3 days per week program
- Experience the responsibilities of caring for horses: feeding, cleaning stalls, handling horses, grooming, tacking, and riding
Healing Hooves
- Focused on ground work for those who do not want to ride and prefer working on the ground with horses
- Learn how to safely lead and groom a horse
- Establish and improve horse to human relationships
- Start to understand natural horsemanship and what your horse’s emotions are telling you
- Become a leader that your horse listens to for better control
