Opportunities For Giving

Every dollar helps us to continue our programs!

We appreciate any donation large or small. Your support means so much to us!

For example:

  • $6 covers the cost of one bag of shavings
  • $30 pays for one bag of grain
  • $90 pays for one round bale of hay

Or, become a member of our herd as a monthly donor!

  • Minis: $25/month
  • Paints: $50/month
  • Appaloosas: $100/month
  • Thoroughbreds: $200+/month

As a member of our herd, you will be added to our “Hay there, Neigh-bor” monthly newsletter for
updates, pictures, video, and to earn some LWF swag!

35k For Hay!:

On September 18th, 2023 we launched a new fundraiser we are calling, “35k For Hay!” It’s a fun way to direct exactly where your donations are going. Basically, we need to invest about $35,000 per year just to feed the horses hay! You can donate specifically to help us with this yearly investment. Learn more here and get updates on our progress!

Sponsor a horse:

This is one of our biggest areas of need: without our horse partners, we cannot offer services! Typical care for a horse is upwards of $675 a month. This includes feeding twice daily, supplements and medications, hay, water, hoof care, and yearly veterinary checkups. Consider sponsoring a horse for a month and get updates on their role in the program. Watch your donation make an impact on the horse and the people they interact with. Sponsor for a single month, a few months, or for the whole year!

Sponsor a rider:

Donations allocated to sponsoring a rider go directly to our scholarship fund to help families afford
our services. Sponsor for one lesson, or for multiple sessions. Families appreciate the financial aid to
afford these services for their family members.

  • services range from $40-$75 for private and group lessons
  • Lessons are typically on a 5 week schedule
  • $350 covers an entire five week session for one 1 hour private lesson a week

Business sponsorships:

We have three levels of business sponsors. If you would like to join please contact us directly to
discuss!

      • Drop them off at your local CLINK drop off locations at Hannaford’s state wide
        • The value of the bottle will automatically deposit into LWF-EAS CLINK account and will be withdrawn for organization expenses to better the lives of the individuals we serve through our services.

In-kind gifts

LWF-EAS accepts non-monetary donations including:

  • Tack
    • LWF-EAS accepts any horseback riding and adaptive tack including saddles, bridles, helmets…etc. It will be evaluated and used in the program at the discretion of certified professionals.
  • Horse handling and care equipment
    • For example: blankets, halters, leadropes, and other handy equipment for an operating farm.
  • Office supplies
    • Like any organization, LWF-EAS utilizes office supplies and greatly appreciates any donation of supplies for administrative needs.
  • Horses
    • It takes a very special, patient, and willing horse to fulfill the needs for an equine-assisted service program. LWF-EAS accepts horses for either recreational lessons of EAS sessions, or both. Horses suitable for our program will be vet-checked, and be placed on a trial to introduce them to the atmosphere of an Equine-Assisted Service and lesson setting. If you are considering donating a horse to LWF-EAS please contact us and we will gladly discuss our needs and horse qualifications.
